Our projects focus on understanding and addressing the challenge of pregnancy loss in various mammalian species, including horses and humans. By studying normal and failing pregnancies in mares, we aim to identify the genetic causes, such as aneuploidy and copy number variation, and explore the mechanisms involved in the development of these variants in the placenta. Ultimately, our goal is to develop new diagnostic tests and treatments that can reduce the incidence of pregnancy loss and improve reproductive outcomes. Features publications are below, with full details on Google Scholar.
